DT Warranty and Policies
Official After-Sales Service System for Bolt-Action Hunting Rifles in the United Kingdom
1. Introduction and Scope
The Delta Technics UK Service Network (DT-UK SN) is the official after-sales service and support system for bolt-action hunting rifles manufactured in the European Union and distributed in the United Kingdom. The system is designed to provide customers with high reliability, long-term support, and confidence in their purchase, while ensuring full compliance with all applicable firearms legislation in the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man.
Rifles are supplied without optical sights or scopes. The warranty applies exclusively to mechanical components and manufacturer-produced accessories.
2. Warranty Policy
Warranty Period
A Lifetime warranty is provided on all nodes and mechanisms of the rifle, excluding barrel wear (natural resource/life of the barrel)
Coverage
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the following:
- Bolt, receiver, trigger mechanism, stock/chassis, and all other mechanical components.
- Manufacturer-produced accessories and attachments (e.g., original bipods, mounts, magazines, or other factory-supplied fittings).
Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Natural wear of the barrel, including erosion, throat erosion, or degradation of accuracy due to normal use (barrel life).
- Any optical sights, scopes, mounts, or sighting systems (rifles are supplied without optics)
- Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, drops, impacts, unauthorized modifications, or use of non-original ammunition or cleaning agents.
- Corrosion or damage caused by environmental factors where proper care has not been observed.
- Natural wear of muzzle brakes and sound moderators
Barrel Replacement
Barrel replacement is available at any authorised service centre. Customers pay the cost of the new barrel at a substantial 20–30% discount off the standard retail price, plus labour and any required proofing charges. A replaced barrel receives a separate 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Warranty Registration
The warranty is automatically registered upon purchase from an authorised UK dealer (Registered Firearms Dealer). The purchaser receives a digital warranty certificate (with QR code) via email and through the customer portal.
3. Service Network Structure
Central Service Hub
The primary and central service centre is located on the Isle of Man. This facility is fully equipped to handle complex repairs, barrel replacements, diagnostics, proofing preparation, and spare parts storage. The Isle of Man location benefits from its status as a Crown Dependency, facilitating efficient movement of firearms and components between the Isle of Man and mainland UK while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
Regional Service Partners
Regional service is delivered exclusively through a network of authorised partner companies — specialist, certified Registered Firearms Dealers (RFDs) across England, Scotland, and Wales (and potentially additional partners on the Isle of Man).
Partners are carefully selected, audited, and authorised. They are responsible for:
- Initial diagnostics and acceptance of rifles.
- Minor and medium-level repairs, adjustments, and maintenance.
- Forwarding complex cases (including barrel replacements) to the Central Service Hub on the Isle of Man.
All service points (central hub and regional partners) operate in full compliance with the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended), the Firearms Act 1947 (Isle of Man), and associated security standards for the storage and handling of Section 1 firearms.
4. Service Procedures
Claim Submission
Claims may be submitted via the official PB-UK SN online portal or through a regional authorized partner. Customers must provide photographs or video of the issue, the rifle’s serial number, a copy of their Firearm Certificate (FAC), and proof of purchase.
Diagnosis and Repair
- Regional partners perform initial diagnosis within 48 hours.
- Minor repairs are completed locally.
- Complex repairs or barrel replacements are forwarded to the Isle of Man hub.
- Target turnaround: 10–14 working days for standard repairs; up to 28 days for complex work (plus transit time).
Transportation
Movement of firearms between the mainland UK and the Isle of Man complies with all legal requirements, including appropriate declarations to carriers (e.g., the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company) and secure transport protocols. Rifles are returned only to the certificate holder or an authorized RFD upon presentation of a valid Firearm Certificate.
Records
All transactions are recorded in compliance with RFD register obligations (see Tables 1 and 2 under the relevant legislation).
5. Logistics, Compliance, and Quality Assurance
Spare parts are imported from the EU manufacturer in accordance with UK and Isle of Man customs, VAT, and firearms control regulations. A strategic stock of high-demand components is maintained at the Isle of Man hub.
All technicians (at the hub and partner sites) receive comprehensive training at the manufacturer’s facility in the EU, plus mandatory annual certification in firearms law and safe handling.
The entire network adheres to the Firearms Security Handbook and relevant proofing requirements (via approved Proof Houses such as London or Birmingham, where necessary).
6. Customer Benefits and Sales Support
The lifetime warranty on mechanical components, combined with convenient regional access and a central specialist hub, serves as a key unique selling proposition. Customers benefit from long-term peace of mind, professional support across the United Kingdom, and clear, transparent terms.
Additional programs, such as discounted routine maintenance through partners, may be introduced to enhance customer loyalty.
